Last night’s 12th annual Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Awards saw the latest win for The Mill, with Kia’s crowd-pleasing 2017 Super Bowl spot, ‘Hero’s Journey’, picking up the trophy for Best VFX in a Commercial.
The HPA Awards recognizes outstanding contributions made in the creation of feature films, television and commercials. In front of a sold-out crowd at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, awards were presented across 12 creative craft categories including color grading, sound, editing and visual effects.
Kia ‘Hero’s Journey’ topped USA Today’s Ad Meter at #1 following its Super Bowl debut in 2017. The spot also reached #1 on YouTube’s AdBlitz, making it the first-ever auto commercial to win both.
Congratulations to all of this year’s winners! See the full list on The Hollywood Reporter.
