The Mill is pleased to announce three promotions within the 2D Department of the Los Angeles studio.
Glyn Tebbutt and Becky Porter will be joining Chris ‘Badger’ Knight as Heads of 2D.
Becky was one of the first VFX artists to join the Los Angeles studio career at The Mill. With over a decade’s worth of experience, she has gone on to lead a portfolio of award-winning jobs including the iconic AMF ‘Caterpillar’ and Game of War ‘Rooftop Alliance’. Becky’s diverse range of projects also comprises the recent ‘Nature Remix’ campaign for Strongbow, the closing titles for feature film The Huntsman: Winter’s War and an impressive collection of Super Bowl work for clients including Mobile Strike ‘Arnold’s Fight’.
Glyn brings a broad and impressive history of overseeing many of the company’s largest VFX projects including P&G ‘Strong’, Bacardi ‘The Night’ and Super Bowl 2016 favorite, Honda ‘A New Truck To Love’.
Becky and Glyn’s appointment to the management team provides further opportunity for them to develop the talented 2D team; supporting technical and creative growth.
The Mill is also excited to announce that Tim Robbins is stepping into the Head of Finishing role. Tim will focus on managing junior artists on a day-to-day basis to support them in learning the art and efficiencies required for the company’s workflow.
Executive Creative Director Phil Crowe says of the announcement, “It’s a timely reminder that hard work and commitment to quality and creative work ultimately allows for the growth. This fantastic news for the 2D Department is a testament to the unique, invaluable and talented individuals we have here at The Mill. I’m excited for the future of the 2D Department with these highly talented individuals, working alongside Badger and the foundations he has built, to elevate everything we do.”
Congratulations Becky, Glyn and Tim!
