On April 19th, we invited the WNW community to swing by design and innovation company Firstborn for some home-brewed beer, lite bites and a discussion on the intersection of utility, creativity and emerging tech. From AI and IoT to Mixed Reality and Robotics, emerging technology is empowering creatives to deliver a new kind of brand experience. But how do you balance surprise and delight with purpose and functionality? Or does it have to be one or the other? If this event was any indication, delight and functionality can coexist in this space.
The lively panel, moderated by WNW Co-Founder Justin Gignac, featured all-star creatives from Firstborn, The Mill and IBM: WNW Member Jeffrey Castellano, Global ECD at IBM, JoonYong Park, CCO at Firstborn, Rama Allen, ECD at The Mill, and Ulrika Karlberg, Creative Director at Firstborn. And while there's a sophistication to the burgeoning worlds of AI and mixed reality, the panel was full of laughs and character. And a lot of great questions came from the packed room.
