A young girl gets a taste of soccer adulation in bold production featuring Joan Jett track


In Nike’s latest inspiring spot marking the Women’s World Cup for soccer, a young player gets a taste of what it could be like to be a top female soccer star.

In the ad, directed by Francois Rousselet at Prettybird for Wieden & Kennedy Portland, 10-year-old aspiring player Makena Cook appears as a little girl who starts off as a mascot: but we see her imagination take flight as she  gets pulled onto the pitch at the start of a game, being told “You’re not done yet.”
