From Friday brunch through to Sunday lunch, Sainsbury's has you covered this Easter. AMV's festive spring spot for the supermarket brand, directed by Stuart Rideout out of RSA, shows the range of delicious foods customers can enjoy with the family this April, from a traditional Sunday lunch to chocolate for the annual Easter egg hunt.
The light hearted, spring spot was graded by Mill colourist Dave Ludlam who comments, "As always it was a pleasure to hook up with one of my closet and most admired directors Stuart Rideout at RSA , the main objective was Easter and the arrival of spring has sprung, so uplifting and joyful colours where the main tasks in hand. As the spot was shot on two cameras, the Alexa and and lower resolution 'action camera' to get into the tighter spots, we had make it feel seamless between the two. Stuart wanted two different tonal feels between the two set ups, which I feel we achieved by alternating a warm saturated tone between a cooler blue feel. The subtle colours and grade make the piece sit together well and doesn't distract the viewer from the idea of the ad."
