Redbee Media, Agile Films and Mill London teamed up to create the Glastonbury 2013 promo directed by Huse Monfaradi.
For this year's BBC Glastonbury 2013 promo, The Mill's task was to virtually extend the pyramid with CGI elements, tracking a compositing 32 LCD screens with footage of the festival and the presenters onto the pyramid stage.
The editor Jamie Mac from The Cut London used a series of retimes to move speedily around the huge structure, so our technical challenge was to blend the screen footage with these re-times, placing the footage of the musical acts onto each pyramid screen. Hugo Guerra VFX supervisor and lead compositor says, "It was an absolute pleasure working with the director Huse Monfaradi on tis project. He had a clear view of what he wanted creatively from the start, which meant we were able to create such a colourful and striking promo for this iconic festival."
