Lead 2D Artist Greg Spencer says, “We were lucky enough to get a chance to revisit a spot we completed last year, but this time re-imagine it in a different way. Using the technology and tricks we learnt from last year’s spot we were able to augment the environment by adding and removing parts of it as we pleased, to achieve the exact look we wanted."
"Instead of using animation to bring the LiDar scans to life, this year we decided to play up to the radar-like aesthetic of the scanner as well as taking advantage of the images, which are beautiful in themselves. Essentially what you are getting is a split second in time that we can then move the camera through and around."
"Compared to last year we stripped back the colour considerably, giving the spot a much more technology-inspired look. In the end I think the spot has a really haunting quality to it.”
