The series of five films focus on the fact that despite the holidays being a time of festivities and cheer, sometimes a little bit of acting is necessary. In this episode, we see a family poorly disguising their disappointment when their son presents them with a charred Christmas dinner. Enter Goldblum, who acts as a coach to help their performance skills and thereby keep the peace.
Whilst the celebrated actor’s tips are one way to avoid an awkward situation during the holidays, Curry’s PC World suggests that investing in a top of the range 3D-heat oven is an altogether more satisfactory alternative.
Colourist Seamus O’Kane gives his thoughts on the series of spots, “Working with Director of Photography Tim Maurice-Jones was a great opportunity to develop a balance between the palette of normality and the subtle enhancement the presence of a movie star brings to the scene.
We always allowed the weight of the grade to be with Goldblum but at the same time he always had to be totally integrated into the normality and his intensity and force reach out to pull the viewer in.
Director David Shane brought out the most captivating performance from Goldblum in these superbly scripted spots, and we made sure that the images were always a delicate design that wouldn't intrude upon that.”
