TBWA Chiat Day worked with The Mill and Director Stuart McIntyre of Imperial Woodpecker to create a new global campaign for Gatorade starring Lionel Messi. ‘Don’t Go Down’ launched in time for FC Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League match.
Artists at The Mill added a number of elements to enhance the intensity throughout the commercial. A mural of Messi was digitally painted onto a building façade, and the 2D team used high-speed footage of football players going after Messi to create the dramatic diorama shot. Using Massive, 3D artists built crowd sequences to simulate the fan-filled mania headed for the match.
