The ad sees a number of firemen unable to attend to their duties because they are too hungry and ‘not themsleves’, performing as mimes rather than the rescue team they are supposed to be. Understanding that the blazing fire behind them needs tending to, their superior offers them a sharing packet of the new Snickers bitesized pieces. They can then return to their duties and save the day.
2D Lead Artist Gareth Brannan explains, "This was a great chance to team up again with the directing duo Big Red Button and help them put their spin on the hugely successful snickers campaign.
The project was a lot of fun and involved a rather busy but exciting shoot where we literally had to burn the set down.
Our job was to enhance the drama and scale of the fire and I think the combination of real in camera effects and CG works really well."
