Droga5 and Diet Coke transports an airline traveler to a new world in the sky for 'Economy.' Smuggler director Filip Engstrom and The Mill collaborated on this lively addition to the 'Get a Taste' campaign. A woman flying coach gets thrown into an exciting alternate reality after snapping open a can of Diet Coke.
It includes the likes of Afghan hounds and cello players having a bit of inflight fun. She catches the eye of a dashing man dressed to the nines until the turbulence hits and she is jolted back to the hum drum gray world of the airplane and a less than dashing gentleman. But, she still has her tasty Diet Coke! The Mill team led by creative director Yann Mabille created the night sky viewed through the plane windows, and the transition from a nightclub in the sky back to your typical airplane interior.
Each window needed to be tracked individually, and the night sky was created using layers of independently moving clouds, combined with distant sparkling stars and the hint of a city below. The spot reimagines what life would be like if it tasted as good as a Diet Coke, with an added fizz and pop.
