'Pixacao' is a politically driven graffiti movement originating in San Paolo. In this visually striking and cinematic short film, Ben Newman explores the extremes these artists will go through to have an impact. Os Pixodores have created a visual language, defined by its tall angular lettering, that can be seen across the many bridges and buildings of Sao Paulo.
Graded by Aubrey Woodiwiss, he and Ben wanted to achieve earth-like tones throughout the short reflecting the grittyness of life deep in the favelas. "You know when your a kid?" says Aubrey "and you fall over in the garden and you get earth in your mouth? These are the earthy tones. Then you have a drink to soothe it, these are like the blues."
