Summary
BBC Radio wants you to Spread The Love!
BBC Radio teams up with the RKCR Y&R agency, the creatives
at Red Bee Media, the talented editors at The Whitehouse and The
Mill's own VFX specialists, to bring you Digital Radio's
smooth-talking advocate, D Love.
"We were thrilled to work with the talented Director duo Peter
Martin out of production company Sweet Shop," says The Mill's
executive producer, Luke Colson. "The comedy they managed to bring
to this series of spots from RKCR for BBC Digital Radio was really
great, and pushed the weird and quirky scripts that extra step! The
puppet, D Love, was genius too, and actually had actors and crew
laughing out loud on the set."
Luke also provided insight into The Mill's part in bringing D Love
to life, "the work needed by The Mill was vast. Loads of clean up
and removal of puppeteers from every shot. We ran this one through
our Nuke studio, and this allowed us to ramp the team up quickly
and flexibly to hit the first tight deadline. At one point we had a
team of 8 people working, each on individual shots."
Such humor and enthusiasm will undoubtedly help spread the love
for Digital Radio - D Love would be proud!
