BRAND JORDAN - Rises above it all
Brand Jordan bursts onto the screens with an epic high octane
new campaign titled "This Is Where It Starts" which brings to life
what champions are made of.
This dynamic large scale piece of creative excites and entices the
viewer as they witness the evolution of two basketball greats; from
being childhood fans of the game to two of its biggest stars….and
rivals.
The film was created by Wieden & Kennedy NY and directed by
MJZ's Matthijs Van Heijningen with VFX by the Mill NY.
The Mill NY's VFX Producer Dan Roberts described the creative
collaboration as, "An exciting creative opportunity, especially the
design of the futuristic world which is featured in the later half
of the ad. Our artists populated the stadiums by using a
combination of tiled live action plates together with CG Massive
people. The stadiums themselves were then modified as the ad
required us to tell the passage of time over several decades right
through to 2032. We also created the motion graphics for the
airport scene, the Meng training bike scene and SLAM skyscraper
billboard."
The Mill NY'S 2D Lead Artist, Iwan Zwarts adds, "It was a really
great to collaborate with W+K once again on such an epic
commercial. Everyone involved did a first class job from
initial pre pro right through to post production. Matthijs'
meticulous attention to detail served us well throughout and we are
all so proud of the end result."
