Director Noah Harris and the creatives at Grey London have used stop motion animation to create two stunning ads for a new campaign for Brother printers, entitled 'Ambitions'.
In both the 'Architect' and 'Cafe' spots, we see each of the
main protagonists stick a piece of paper on the wall upon which it
promptly multiplies and expands outwards to create a series of new
scenes that reflect each of our hero's business ambitions - from a
building site to a high tech building and a rooftop cafe.
To achieve Noah's unique vision, stop motion animation on both the
people and the paper was used together with time lapse photography,
resulting in an unreal and distorted sense of time. The team
took care to shoot each element at the same height and using the
same lens so that it matched the perspective of the room that the
viewer is effective seeing the ad through.
