The Mill's Jordi Bares directs 'Gap', the next installment in The Mill and Ogilvy's series of Comfort commercials featuring the Comfees family.
"The latest Comfort commercial is a little different from the
Comfees' previous adventures," explains producer Duncan Gaman, who
oversaw the project from our Comfort Office at The Mill Clipstone
Street. Having collaborated closely with Ogilvy on the whole series
of lovable Comfort commercials for Unilever, the next challenge for
our team was to create a fun and successful parody of a beauty

re-enactment of a women's beauty commercial, however the only
beauty product she needs to make her fabric skin glow is the new
The creative concept for this spot brought our 3D team plenty of
challenges. "We loved Ogilvy's script from the off," Director Jordi
Bares remembers. "Our brief was to animate Mum mimicking a

family. There were several tight shots on Mum's face, so the
subtleties of her facial performance were the main focus for our
team of animators. Although it was key to communicate she was
taking this show moment seriously, we also needed to show that she
was enjoying herself."
I think we can all agree 'it was worth it'!
