Summary

‘Every day is race day’ for FedEx Express couriers and for the fast new rally car No. 11 introduced in this three-spot campaign. In ‘Perspective’, two boys race their model cars on a Scalextric track. The Mill New York helped to create miniaturization effects so that the cars driven by real drivers, one a FedEx courier, appear to be the size of a toy car. The Mill also cleaned up the other two spots, ‘Draft’ and ‘Gin Rummy’.

New York-based Australian director Craig Gillespie has a reputation for making funny commercials, and what boy hasn't imagined his model cars zooming around a real racetrack.

The live action of Nascar racing driver Jason Leffler was shot on a real racetrack in California. The racing-car footage was then matted off and composited onto a slot car track filmed in the children's living room. And added camera shake intensified the sense of being inside a Nascar racing car.
