Summary
We teamed up with AMV and Academy's Martin De Thurah for 'Olympics': Part Two of The National Lottery's 'Life Changing' campaign.
The modern Olympics began over 100 years ago as did the dreams
that go with them. In their latest spot we see the unique
contribution that National Lottery players have made to London 2012
and we see how the National Lottery funding has helped realise
these dreams for many of Great Britain's athletes.
Specifically, in this case, we see a story inspired by London
2012's real-life 800m runner, Jenny Meadows and her mother Barbara.
Barbara was a great athlete herself but didn't have enough funding
unlike Jenny. Thanks to the National Lottery Jenny has been able to
fulfil her ambition and talent and compete in this year's
games.
The Mill's 3D Lead Artist Alex Hammond explains 'Our brief was to
create a stadium worthy of holding an Olympic athletics event with
thousands of spectators. We went through a few iterations of the
stadium, either by adding tiers or making them bigger and in this
way we could fill up the stadium to make it look as impressive as
it does.'
Looking back at the hopes of Barbara and forward to the hopes
Jenny, take a look and good luck Jenny!
