Arnaud Fouquet - VFX Supervisor

After a degree in Audiovisual and Communication from the Université Polytechnique des Hauts de France, Arnaud Fouquet discovered visual effects at Excalibur, where he explored various techniques including motion control, model sets and back-projection. When the company created a digital department, he self-trained in digital VFX and quickly became the team’s lead graphic designer. He then joined L’E.S.T., where he became VFX supervisor and worked on projects including Alain Berberian and Frederic Forestier’s Le Boulet, Philippe Haïm’s Les Daltons, and Andrew Niccol’s Lord of War.

Since joining the studio’s supervision team in 2011, Arnaud has supervised more than forty feature films, including Romain Campillo’s BPM, winner of 12 awards including the César for Best French Film of the Year in 2018; Michel Gondry’s Mood Indigo; and Xavier Giannoli’s Lost Illusions. He has also developed a close collaboration with director Michael Haneke, supervising Amour, which received 26 awards including the Oscar for Best Foreign Film and the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2012, as well as Happy End in 2017.

Arnaud has also contributed to acclaimed documentaries such as Oceans, winner of the César for Best Documentary in 2011, and Jacques Perrin’s Seasons, developing a particular expertise in photorealistic natural environments. In 2022, he was nominated for a César Award for his VFX supervision on Lost Illusions. More recently, he supervised the visual effects of Netflix’s Under Paris, one of the platform’s most successful non-English-language films, as well as the Netflix series Néro, for which the visual effects team received the Best Environment Award at the 2026 Telly Awards, and Florian Zeller’s Bunker, selected for TIFF and the Venice Biennale.
