What piece of work inspired you to get into a career at The Mill & why?
In my last year of college, I came across The Mill’s ‘2013 Showreel’ on Vimeo, it was an impressive four-minute introduction to the studio. The reel features some epic VFX accompanied by Clair De Lune. Although that was seven years ago now, to me that reel highlights something The Mill has always done best, which is to create impressionable work. That desire to continuously make inspiring work is what lead me to where I am today, working with massively talented people every day.
In your opinion, what will be the most defining change in the creative industry over the next decade?
I believe we can expect to see a rise in more design-driven 3D work. With the increase of advertising on social media and tighter deadlines, I believe these sorts of projects allow our studio flexible ways to continue delivering fun, high-quality work utilizing all departments.
We’re are already seeing some amazing ways our studio has been able to execute design-driven work within our Mill pipeline. I’m personally excited to see how this work continues to evolve our industry, as we find more creative and efficient ways to tell stories.
