A Bloomin’ Lovely Spot for Amazon Business
‘Bloom’ - the story of a business growth from The Mill, Joint, and DOM&NIC
The Mill is proud to share this beautiful spot, created for Amazon Business, in collaboration with Joint London and Outsider’s DOM&NIC. The unbroken, moving shot follows Faith, a florist whose business is struggling before the help of Amazon Business. Watch her business bloom and flourish at the shot moves and her floral empire grows.
This is what VFX Supervisor, Andy Steele, had to say about the project,
“"Amazon Business was a very fun project to work on as it required so many disciplines to arrive at the final picture. At its heart, it is a complex, choreographed stage show performance, a single continuous camera and constantly evolving set. As simple as the end result appears to be, there were many challenges to figure out along the way.
Early in the production we decided to use the Arri VP studio for the production. We felt that the benefit of live feedback on the wrap around screen array would help with interactive lighting and the talent performance on the day as they would have something to interact with. Pre shoot, the Unreal + Previz teams plotted the entire shoot from start to finish, establishing timings for the performance routine, layout, VP screen content, animation and Lighting.
Post-shoot, we then took our real-time scenes and rendered offline using the UE5 path tracer to add greater depth to the reflections and shadows, and to give our compositors the highest quality CG renders to work with."”
