Following on from Toyota’s Born from Invincible campaign, The Mill have teamed up again with Saatchi & Saatchi to launch Toyota’s most capable, dependable and advanced truck yet. The campaign for the all-new Tundra, “Born For This,” marks Toyota’s largest U.S. campaign to date as the third-generation vehicle looks to build on its success in the full-size truck segment.
The Mill created a series of complete photoreal environments from mountains, CG forests and desert tracks, to showcase the truck as a complete powerhouse that is rooted in quality, durability and “born to deliver.” The Mill delivered the VFX and colour for two spots, ‘Born for the Wild’ and ‘Born for Bringing it’, providing Toyota’s iconic truck lineage with seamlessly blended worlds of the most challenging and beautiful climates only their truck could take on.
“With the previous campaign 'Born from Invincible' already delivering first-class VFX and colour from our teams, we wanted to step things up for the two latest spots. We were briefed to create steep cliffsides, billowing dust clouds, summery landscapes and seamless flowing transitions to help the Toyota Tundra show off its power in the wild. shot freely on a Russian arm, we worked with expertly shot action plates, created a CG forest and used water splash houdini simulations to create a forest, with our CG team making a completely photoreal environment, with mountains and blowing dust trails.”
