Facebook’s ‘Skate Ghana’ takes home the Grand Prix Award for Post Production at the 2021 Ciclope Awards

Last night the very best in European advertising gathered in Berlin for the 2021 Ciclope Awards, a show dedicated to craft in moving image and a platform for creatives and industry professionals to network, be inspired and catch up with the latest trends in storytelling.

Facebook ‘Skate Nation Ghana’, a film directed by Bafic, Elliott Powers and Justyna Obasi, concepted by Droga 5 and featuring visuals from our VFX team, took home the Grand Prix award for Post Production.

The film looks at the rise of skate culture in Ghana, and features Joshua Odamtten as he tells his story of learning skills on the streets of Accra and founding Skate Nation Ghana. A big congratulations to Bafic, Elliott Powers, Justyna Obasi, Executive Producer Daniel Wolfe, Droga 5, Lovesong, The Quarry, Cut + Run and our VFX team for crafting this incredible and inspiring project.
