Director Dvein in close collaboration with Photographer Miles Aldridge with whom we worked on Glenmorangie ads, signed a beautiful collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier for its two iconic perfumes : Classique for women and Le Male for men. With humour and as chic as ever, the corseted models led by the beautiful Daphne Groeneveld and the sexy sailors led by Chris Bunn invite us behind the scenes of the making of the two fragrances.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male fragrance, the brand is celebrating the modern masculinity represented by the figure of the sailor. For this dreamlike ad, our Parisian and Bangalore studio teams up with director François Rousselet. Bangalore team worked on the rotoscope, match move, digital matte painting while our Paris teams handled the CG work, modeling and full 3D pack shot. After 3 days of shooting, our Parisian artists replaced the sky to harmonise the texture and the aspect despite the varied weather conditions. Then they worked on the main lighthouse and the stairwell in full CG.
The women’s eau de toilette is this time embodied by the beautiful Irina Shayk in a black and white film directed by Johan Renck and produced by Soixante Quinze. Once again Irina caused scandal before joining the table of Jean Paul Gaultier himself and the actress Rossy de Palma. After this commercial, our Parisian studio collaborated with director Johan Renck on various films with Chanel and Marion Cotillard or Prada with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Jean Paul Gaultier partnered with director Jonas Lindstroem in an explosive ad featuring Parker Van Noord and Imaam Hammam. Always in the register of seduction, the two actors once again cause a scandal. The tension is so strong that the windows shatter, the walls crack until and the Eiffel Tower shakes thanks to the VFX work done by our artists.
