In our Makers At Heart series, we introduce the people behind the projects to hear more about their inspirations, motivations and creative insights. We caught up with Producer, Ade Macalinao about how great work is made when creativity is allowed to flow freely and her recent work on Louis Vuitton Creative Director Virgil Abloh’s latest music promo.
Tell us about a project that defines your craft and why?
These projects represent how epic collaborations can be when they allow the creative to flow freely. All of these clients, agencies and directors were great collaborators and our teams were able to offer input into the creative process – which resulted in beautiful visuals and introspective undertones.
When you mix great ideas and people who just do their thing, I feel like I’m a facilitator of magic rather than a producer and that is honestly one of my favorite feelings.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I get out of bed to experience what this life has to offer and for the opportunity to learn from and work with talented people who have strong creative visions. Some recent personal work I’ve helped produce are music videos for Virgil Abloh ft. serpentwithfeet’s ‘Delicate Limbs’ directed by Kordae Jatafa Henry, Dan Deacon’s ‘Sat By a Tree’ with Enyclopedia Pictura, and a short film called Edible.
