What is your role?
I am a Creative Director in our Berlin Studio.
Talk us through your career journey and how you ended up working in the industry?
I started in the industry in London over a decade ago, straight from Art school in Glasgow, over that time I’ve worked on projects spanning commercial, film and television.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to get into the industry?
The industry is incredibly diverse and multifaceted, especially today, there is a beguiling myriad of roles you can specialize in. I would say it’s not always necessary for you to know exactly what role you want to occupy going into it. In layman’s terms, try not to pigeonhole yourself early on, it’s always an option to begin your career as one thing and switch to another within the same industry if you find that’s where your passion lies.
What is your favourite thing about Berlin?
Berlin feels like one of the last truly free cities, you get a very strong sense people can be whomever they want to be here, and give the middle finger to anyone who thinks otherwise.
What opportunities do you foresee for the Berlin Studio this year?
Now thst the world is finally opening up once more, the opportunity for the office to expand more freely is firmly back. We look forward to welcoming and nurturing both new and existing talent within our growing studio, cultivating an exciting and collaborative culture within the physical studio space.
