Mill Director Alan Bibby crafts a heartfelt visual for Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers” using familial archival footage

For the release of ‘Wildflowers & All the Rest,’ the double album of Wildflowers, Adria Petty, Tom’s daughter, commissioned Directors Alan Bibby and Jonny Kofoed to make a promo for ‘Wildflowers,’ one of Tom’s most beloved songs.

“Using archival footage from the family of Tom in 1994 as he was recording the album – none of which has ever been seen before –we crafted it into an intimate elegy,” comments Alan Bibby. “Working closely with Adria, to whom it is both intensely personal and important, we built out a world that feels intrinsically Tom. This was incredibly important for us to do justice to his song and his legacy. Wildflowers has never had an official video. Being asked to do one for it was humbling and an amazing opportunity for all of us involved.”

The long-awaited ‘Wildflowers & All the Rest’ collections project will be released on October 16th.
