Mill Paris | The best moments of Annecy !

News June 28, 2022

The Mill team was at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and at MIFA to meet students and professionals of the sector! Every year, The Mill goes to Annecy to find today’s and tomorrow’s artists, but also to build partnerships with schools directly.

The candidates benefited from the expertise of Benoit Holl, head of creative operations, Michael Girod, VFX Supervisor, Michael Moercant, Motion design artist, Arnaud Chaumat, recruiter, Isabelle Renault, recruiter and planning manager, and Kim Julian Brand Manager.

The stand was this year shared with the MPC Paris Liège team with whom The Mill Paris shares recruitment.
Jeremy Delchiappo, head of creative operations, Mark Robinson, CG supervisor of the MPC Paris team were present on the stand alongside our team.

The MIFA is also an opportunity to meet representatives of animation schools and build relationships of trust with them. Each year, The Mill Paris team participates in many graduation juries and master classes directly in the schools. Thanks to this support, students can benefit from the advice of professionals and sometimes continue their career in our studios.

Parallel 14 is a good example of these fruitful partnerships. This school founded by Yoan Pavadé and Saidou Bernabé (pictured here with Benoit Holl, head of creative operations The Mill Paris), is the first and only school specialising in visual effects in Martinique, a French island located in the Atlantic Ocean.
Each year we welcome interns who today have joined the Parisian studio, such as Richard Rampaly and Joellia Rose, generalists artists. Guillaume Dadaglio, CG supervisor, also comes to the school for technical master classes.

This year, 6 young graduates and their educational supervisor came to Annecy and had the opportunity to meet our recruiters.
