The latest generation Nissan Juke hybrid crossover has arrived in dealerships and on screens with a film directed by Jan Wentz, produced by Quad and post-produced by our Parisian studio. A woman timidly drives up in her new Nissan Juke in the middle of a science fiction film shoot while the actors and technical crew are busy on set. All eyes are on the vehicle. She continues through the green screen and then through two film sets, one with a Roman decor and the other resembling a musical. Set to the disco version of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, the film presents a new driving experience that conveys a sense of fun and getaways, just like the cinema.
Our team created the first science fiction scene in 3D, from the multiple skyscrapers to the futuristic vehicles and robots.
“We worked on four films for Nissan. Each was more different from the last in terms of the scenario and the amount of 3D to be integrated into the image. The projects did not all evolve at the same speed, so we had to be organised to manage the pre-production, on the one hand, the creation of the 3D on the other, and the finalisation of the films. For Nissan Juke, we focused on the first shot by creating the entire science fiction set in 3D and matte painting. Each soldier has a different attitude, so we had to animate them slightly to give them their movement. A great experience with a team always attentive to detail and concerned about doing a good job!
