TODAY | Mill Executive Creative Director Chappers to speak on Virtual Production at UK Creative Festival

Community September 10, 2021

On 10th February, Screen Skills, the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) backed a move to ensure the UK is a global centre of excellence in virtual production by developing national standards for training in high-tech roles in virtual production. The purpose of the initiative is to create national standards, and a common agreement across industry and academia as to the definition of virtual production, the job roles within it, and the skills that individuals need to have or attain in different roles and at different levels of seniority as its potential continues to evolve.

Today at the UK Creative Festival, Executive Creative Director of our London studio, Chappers will be joined by Karl Woolley (Global Real-time Director, Framestore) Emma Turner (ScreenSkills), Joanna Alpe (CCO, Bild Studios) and Sallyann Houghton (Epic Games) to discuss working in Virtual Production, upskilling and nurturing talent, what the DIT initiative means for young people and content creation in the UK how they have found using the tech so far.
