Les Yeux Verts

Les Yeux Verts

Directed by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh (Gagarine), Les Yeux Verts (The Green Eyes) premiered as the Opening Film of the 2026 Locarno Film Festival, with its world premiere on the iconic Piazza Grande.

The film follows Chaya, an 11-year-old girl determined to wake her brother Nour, who has fallen into a deep and mysterious sleep after their family's eviction from the territory is announced. Blending realism with poetic storytelling, LES YEUX VERTS explores childhood, resilience, and the invisible forces that shape our lives.

The Mill's film & series teams collaborated closely with the filmmakers to deliver more than 36 visual effects shots, supporting the film's subtle and immersive visual language. Rather than drawing attention to themselves, the VFX were crafted to seamlessly enhance the emotional depth and magical realism at the heart of the story.

Congratulations to Fanny Liatard, Jérémy Trouilh, and the entire cast and crew on the film's premiere at the Locarno Film Festival.
