The Mill celebrated an important win at the Cannes Lions Festival, picking up the Cannes Lions Gold Innovation award for The Mill BLACKBIRD®, and what an introduction; to be recognised and awarded for its pioneering technological creativity.

Two years in the making, alongside JemFX, Performance Filmworks and Keslow Camera, The Mill BLACKBIRD® sets out to transform the way automotive advertising is made: it has the ability to be any car, anywhere. Until now, automotive content has been dictated to or hampered by car availability, limited access to locations and footage that can quickly become irrelevant. The Mill BLACKBIRD® is the first fully adjustable car rig to create photo-real CG vehicle assets, acting as a production tool to inspire car brands, agencies and film-makers to do things in new, innovative and efficient ways. 

The Innovation Lions honour and celebrate groundbreaking enabled creativity through the use of pioneering tech, tools, models and platforms so we are thrilled to be awarded such an accolade alongside our partners who we couldn't have done it without.
