A blues soundtrack sets the mood as the main character smolders in the corner of a dive bar. Her nails are manicured to a perfect point and painted with the image of an attacking shark. By stirring a Southern Comfort cocktail with her sharpened fingertip, the painted shark all but stalks the maraschino cherry within. With one swift move she pierces the cherry with her nail, drawing a satisfying blot of bright red juice, and pops it into her mouth. This sultry lady is a shark in disguise.2D Lead Jade Kim, who has worked on 'Karate,' 'Shampoo,' and 'Young Gun'
from the campaign, led the Mill creative team in adding the bravely waving Southern Comfort flag. The shark nail art was treated so it would be seen more clearly in each shot, down to individually painted teeth. Bubbles were added to the cocktail to make it fizz, and a look for the end tag was created, inspired by the old gold look of the woman's rings. The glitzy lady joins the mustachioed cowboy and dancing bartender in Southern Comfort's lineup of quirky characters.
