To introduce Call of Duty's latest game 'The Replacers', The
Mill LA was brought in to provide all the VFX in this spot
promoting the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
In the comedic video, actor Peter Stormare acts as a literal
'replacer, filling in for Call of Duty fans in their everyday lives
as they play the actual game. The new version of this game includes
new multiplayer maps, a new Zombies co-op map and a multiplayer
weapons which The Mill had to help with creating.
"Faced with an extremely tight schedule, we tackled one tricky
seamless transition, multiple clean up shots, and a variety of set
enhancements without bothering the 3D department at all," says
Mill's 2D Artist, Tim Bird. "The challenge was having to subtitle
the four minute piece in four different languages for a next day
delivery - and per usual, mission successfully accomplished."
