Ford Focus

Power Shift

Summary

Working closely with Blue Hive's creative director Greg Burke and Rokkit director Raf Wathion, we have recently completed 14 x 20-second TV spots for the new Ford Focus campaign, 'Start More Than a Car'.

Ford is adopting a new global approach to its brand messaging with a launch campaign for the Ford Focus which includes 50 short adverts spotlighting technology.

The campaign highlights the Focus' advanced new intuitive technologies including the Active Park Assist and City Stop functions, all designed to enhance the driving experience.

During multiple grading sessions, our Colourist Mick Vincent worked on keeping the grade consistent throughout the series of commercials to give the campaign its distinctive look and feel.  Lighting on the shoot was always going to be determined by the weather, however Mick managed to brighten up shots so the rest of our VFX team had consistent plates to work from.

Ben Turner and his 2D team then spent months sorting through the various edits, cleaning up roads, comping 3D elements and applying various other subtle touches.  For instance, if the driver was on the wrong side of the car or the reflections in the body work needed retouching, the team were able to jump between commercials with every element of each shot.
