where the people are always direct and honest, you do things a

No Bollocks is a multi-spot campaign
directed by Ivan Zacharias. In these
commercials, Newcastle aims to poke fun
at everything most beer companies hold sacred.
It's heritage, its founder, hometown and brewing process are
all fair game, as is the entire beer industry at large.
Newcastle Brown Ale is proud of it's history and "Miners"
is an homage to its humble roots. The Mill's Lead 2D Artist,
Gavin Wellsman, used various techniques in Flame to create a 1927
newsreel feel. Though it was shot in 2012 on the Alexa HD, this
spot looks like it could easily be from an old archive.
The deceptively simple campaign gives an honest look at
the city Newcastle Brown Ale calls home. It's beer advertising
without all the frills that usually comes with beer
And that's No Bollocks.
