Lise Fischer - The Mill VFX Supervisor
With 18 years of experience in visual effects, Lise Fischer is a leading expert in her field, recognized for her high standards and expertise.
After studying audiovisual media, Lise began her career at Mac Guff Line in 2007 as a compositing artist. She worked on the animated feature Dragon Hunters, then moved on to major productions such as Le Petit Nicolas by Laurent Tirard, Largo Winch by Jérôme Salle, and Transporter 2 by Louis Leterrier. Two years later, she joined Illumination as a compositing supervisor, contributing to hits like The Lorax, Despicable Me 2, and The Secret Life of Pets.
With a strong background in digital post-production, she joined MPC Paris in 2020 as a VFX supervisor. She has led major projects there, including Notre-Dame Brûle by Jean-Jacques Annaud, Animalia by Sofia Alaoui, and La Montagne by Thomas Salvador, earning a César nomination for Best Visual Effects in 2023 for her supervision work.
Since March 2021, she has continued her VFX supervision on films such as Flo by Géraldine Danon, while collaborating on other projects like L’Île Rouge by Robin Campillo and L’Empire by Bruno Dumont.
Several films she has contributed to have been selected at major international festivals. In 2024, Emilia Pérez by Jacques Audiard, where she supervised compositing, competed in the Official Selection at Cannes, while Animale by Emma Benestan, for which she managed visual effects, closed the Critics’ Week. In 2025, L’Inconnu de la Grande Arche by Stéphane Demoustier, for which she supervised VFX, was presented in Un Certain Regard and later received the Best Environment award at the Digital Creation Genie Awards. The film also earned Lise Fischer the César Award for Best Visual Effects in 2026.
Her recent VFX supervision work also includes La Chaleur by Stéphane Demoustier, as well as Les Yeux Verts by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh. She also supervised the visual effects for Resurrection by Bi Gan, which received nominations for Best Visual Effects at the Florida Film Critics Circle Awards and the Golden Kite Awards.
