For Nissan’s latest Qashqai e-POWER campaign, created in collaboration with Omnicom, The Mill helped turn an ambitious creative idea into a playful, cinematic reality.

The story follows a mother on a mission to catch up with her family after her child’s favourite comfort toy is accidentally left behind in the car. Determined to get it back, she tries every possible mode of transport, from parachuting to flying, while the Qashqai e-POWER simply keeps going.

The campaign called for a mix of imagination, technical craft and seamless visual storytelling. The Mill created the parachute and aircraft sequences entirely in CG, integrating them naturally into the live-action world and helping the creative team push the idea further on screen.

But the work was about more than VFX. From the early creative stages through to the final frames, The Mill worked closely with the client and creative teams to explore ideas, solve challenges and find the right visual approach for every moment.

It’s a collaboration built on experience and trust. The Mill and Nissan have been working together for almost two decades, with more than 30 collaborations spanning campaigns for the Qashqai, Juke, X-Trail, Ariya, Micra and more since 2006. That history gives every new project a strong foundation, while leaving plenty of room to try something new.

For this latest Qashqai e-POWER campaign, that meant taking the creative idea wherever it needed to go, and using VFX to make it feel completely real.

Another chapter in a long-standing creative partnership.
